Paradigm at Pearl

Paradign at Pearl Case StudyAn ambitious new midrise called Paradigm at Pearl is under construction near the University of Oregon campus, a 4-story, $13 million residential building that will satisfy a growing demand for quality student housing. For this project, which will be among the first LEED-certified midrise structures west of the Mississippi, Rosboro is providing a comprehensive framing package of approximately 225,000 feet of kiln-dried, #2 Douglas fir studs.

Scheduled for completion by the end of 2011, Paradigm at Pearl will total 138 bedrooms and 80,000 square feet. A 30-member framing crew is working at a steady clip to frame one floor every 1.5 weeks, and to meet their exact specifications, Rosboro cut custom lengths of 2 x 4 and 2 x 6 at 102-5/8" and 114-5/8".

"This scale of project on a strict timetable requires great coordination and a completely reliable source of building materials,” said Joe Beechler of Shelter Products Inc., the Paradigm project’s lead distributor. "Rosboro’s framing package of D-fir studs at custom lengths was precisely what we needed and it’s been delivered on-site spot on time at every stage."

Rosboro is proud to meet the framing requirements of this impressive, energy-efficient building that will provide quality housing for our U of O students for generations to come.
